Terms of Service

Product: BigCap Publisher: CTRL Colab LLC Version: 1.0 Effective: August 11, 2026

These terms cover this website, buying BigCap, downloading it, and the support we offer. They do not cover the software itself — that is the End User License Agreement, and where the two touch the same subject, the EULA wins.

1. Who we are

BigCap is made and published by CTRL Colab LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company. You can reach us at hello@ctrlcolab.com. For legal service or postal correspondence, please contact us by email at the address above and we will provide a physical address on request.

When these terms say "we" or "us", that is CTRL Colab LLC. "You" is whoever is reading the page or buying the software.

2. What these terms cover

The website and the transaction. Not the software.

It is worth keeping the two apart, because they answer different questions:

  • These terms govern your use of this website, the purchase, the download, and support.
  • The EULA governs the software: what you may do with BigCap once it is installed, what we warrant about it, and what we do not.
  • The Refund Policy is where refund terms live, once, so they cannot drift.
  • The Privacy Policy covers data — the application's, the purchase's, and this website's.

Where these terms and the EULA both touch the software, the EULA prevails.

3. Using this website

You may read these pages, download the software, and buy a licence. Please do not try to break the site, scrape it at volume, or use it to distribute anything harmful.

We may change the site's content at any time, including prices and product descriptions, and we may take it down for maintenance or for good. We try to keep it accurate — if you find something on it that contradicts these documents, the documents are right and we would be glad to hear about it.

4. Downloads and software

BigCap is distributed as a Windows MSI installer, roughly 108 MB, for Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. ARM64 devices are not officially supported in 1.0; running BigCap on ARM64 through Windows emulation may work but is untested.

The installer is not currently code-signed. That means Windows SmartScreen is likely to show a "Windows protected your PC" prompt the first time you run it, and you will need to choose More info → Run anyway. We would rather tell you that here than have you meet it unexpectedly and assume the worst. Code signing is planned.

Download BigCap from this website or from a link we sent you, and not from anywhere else. We cannot vouch for a copy that came from a third-party download site, and we have seen no reason to trust one.

5. Purchases, pricing, and taxes

BigCap is a one-time purchase of $4.99 USD. It is not a subscription — there is no renewal, no recurring charge, and nothing to cancel.

Paddle.com Market Limited is our merchant of record and is the seller on your order. Paddle runs the checkout, takes the payment, issues your receipt and invoice, and calculates and remits VAT and sales tax for your country. Depending on where you are, tax may be added to the price shown. Whether the displayed price is inclusive of applicable VAT or sales tax depends on the merchant's configuration for your billing country; the tax added, if any, is itemised at checkout before you confirm.

Your purchase is complete when Paddle confirms it and you have the download. Paddle may show the price in your local currency; the charge itself is processed under Paddle's own terms, which you accept at checkout.

6. Refunds

Fourteen days, any reason, no justification required.

The full terms are on the Refund Policy, and that page is authoritative. We deliberately do not restate them here, because two copies of the same policy eventually stop matching.

7. Support

Email, from a small team, in English.

Write to hello@ctrlcolab.com and a person will read it. We aim to reply within two business days, which is a goal rather than a guarantee.

What support covers: helping you install BigCap, working out why a particular page did not capture the way you expected, and fixing bugs where we can. What it does not cover: making BigCap capture a specific site that resists it, general web-development help, or building a feature to order. We may not be able to solve every capture problem — some pages genuinely cannot be captured faithfully, which the EULA §5 explains — and if we cannot, we will say so rather than string you along, and you can have your money back.

Support is included with your purchase for as long as we are selling and maintaining BigCap. If we stop, the software keeps working; the inbox may not.

8. Acceptable use

BigCap captures other people's websites, so this section matters more than it usually would. You may not use BigCap, or anything you obtain from this site, to:

  • infringe anyone's copyright or other intellectual property;
  • breach the terms of service of a website you capture, including any restriction on automated access;
  • collect or publish personal information about other people in a way that breaches privacy or data-protection law;
  • access an account or a page you are not permitted to access, including through Browse & Capture;
  • break the law, in whatever jurisdiction applies to you.

These obligations are set out at greater length in EULA §6, which is the operative version. We have no visibility into what you capture and no way to monitor it — this is a statement of what the licence permits, not a claim to be policing it.

9. Intellectual property and trademarks

This website, its copy, and its artwork belong to CTRL Colab LLC. BigCap and CTRL Colab are our marks. You may of course write about BigCap, review it, quote it, and show screenshots of it — that is ordinary descriptive use and it needs no permission.

10. Third-party links and services

This site links to Paddle for checkout, and may link elsewhere. We do not control those services and are not responsible for them; their own terms and privacy policies apply once you are there.

Separately, and more importantly for this product: when you use BigCap to capture a website, that website's own terms and privacy policy govern your interaction with it. We are not a party to it and are not in the middle of it.

11. Disclaimers

The plain version: we try to keep this site accurate and available, and we cannot promise it always will be.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS WEBSITE AND ITS CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. WARRANTIES CONCERNING THE SOFTWARE ITSELF ARE ADDRESSED IN THE EULA, WHICH GOVERNS THAT SUBJECT.

Nothing here removes a mandatory right you have under the consumer law where you live.

12. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CTRL COLAB LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THIS WEBSITE. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US.

This does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Liability concerning the software is capped separately in EULA §14.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top of this page are how you tell. Changes are not retroactive — the terms in force when you bought are the ones that governed your purchase.

14. Governing law

CTRL Colab LLC is a New Mexico limited liability company. That is where the company was formed, and it is a separate question from which law governs these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.

A choice-of-law clause does not remove mandatory consumer protections you have under the law of the country or state where you live.
